Member Engagement Officer / Coordinator

Many community organisations have a membership component to their structure. Members can include individuals and organisations that support your organisation’s work. Members generally provide financial support in return for participating in consultations, policy development, workshops, networking events and meetings. Membership-based community organisations also provide resources, regular communications, and support to their members.

As a member engagement officer, you will be responsible for building strong, collaborative relationships with members and increasing your member base. Tasks may involve event organising, writing newsletters, responding to member inquiries, and managing member records. Member engagement officers should be team players, detail oriented, approachable, and most importantly, great communicators.
